While the Mahabharat is popularly known for its mythological tales and cultural influence, many of life’s lessons are also derived from the Mahabharat but most often, from its men. Telling it with this fresh and new perspective will not only be interesting but also very significant.”Mahabharat, according to multiple media reports in the past, is likely to be a Rs 1000 crore-project. In the last couple of days, rumours were rife that Deepika had been roped in to play Sita opposite Hrithik Roshan’s Ram in another epic, Ramayana. However, now when the actress has signed the dotted line for Mahabharat, it seems that those were nothing more than rumours.More than a year ago, Aamir Khan had expressed his wish to make Mahabharat, calling it his dream project. He had then said that he was afraid to take up the project as it will consume at least 15-20 years of his life. It was reported that Reliance Industries Limited Chairman Mukesh Ambani was producing the project, which will cost about Rs 1000 crore due to its extravagant scale.Whether or not Aamir is associated with Deepika Padukone and Madhu Mantena’s Mahabharat will be interesting to see.
